The Son de Mar adventure began on a family plot of land owned by the Coll family. The idea: to create a hotel in Corsica on a human scale, anchored in its environment, respecting the soul of the village while offering a new, high-end proposition. Challenge met! Inaugurated in 2022, the establishment seduces as much by its architectural integration as by the unique experience it offers.
Nestled between the sea and the Corsican pine forest, the Son de Mar is much more than a hotel in Southern Corsica: it's a haven designed for lovers of beauty, calm, and the essential. Located in San Ciprianu, in the commune of Lecci, the 4-star hotel cultivates a natural elegance, both raw and refined. Designed around three pillars—architecture, decoration, and nature—the Son de Mar reinterprets the codes of island hospitality. Arches, vaults, clean lines, raw materials punctuated with Klein blue (a nod to the establishment's Catalan name): everything pays homage to the identity of San Ciprianu, in a contemporary and warm atmosphere.
Ideal for a nature weekend in Corsica, Le Son de Mar also places a premium on well-being. To awaken the senses, the sea-view hotel has adopted an olfactory signature created by Studio Aoiro: a woody fragrance with hints of Corsican pine forest, sold on-site. A custom soundtrack, created by Maison Sérieuse, extends this sensory immersion, combining nature, memory, and the good life.
Finally, nestled in a quiet setting, the discreet and refined spa evokes a modern Turkish bath: hammam, heated pool, and treatment rooms—everything designed to encourage relaxation. The Codage Paris brand is behind the rituals offered at this Corsican spa hotel. Special mention goes to the signature "Son de Mar" treatment, combining warm shells and enveloping massages. A lovely break after a day at the beach. Open only in the evening, the 100-seat restaurant offers a short, fresh, and entirely homemade menu. On the menu: marine inspirations and Corsican touches—Tahitian-style raw tuna, grilled octopus, confit lamb, or chestnut-crusted sea bass.
All in a chic, relaxed atmosphere, to be enjoyed indoors or on the terrace. Adjacent to the restaurant, the Cave du Son de Mar showcases Corsican winemakers, with around fifty carefully selected wines. At nightfall, the space becomes a welcoming bar: house cocktails, sharing platters, and a cozy atmosphere under the flowering wisteria. The spirit is all about la dolce vita, Corsican style.
